Dwarka Expressway, otherwise referred to as the  “Northern Peripheral Road” is an 18 kilometer long and 150 meters wide stretch being developed to connect Delhi with Gurgaon and Dwarka with National Highway 8. The Expressway connects with NH 8 at Kherki Daula. It will also pass Pataudi Road which, along with Dwarka Expressway is buzzing with real estate interest as they are close to three prominent highways.

  • Dwarka expressway has been the major focal point in the Gurgaon – Manesar Master Plan 2031 that entails all the details of land allocation for developmental activities.  
  • Each and every facet of the project is preplanned and the progress is rapid. Leading real estate developers like Tata Housing, Raheja Group, ATS, Ramprastha, Puri Constructions and Indiabulls have more than 120 residential projects in Dwarka Expressway. All of them are campaigning for a speedy progress of the expressway.  
  • Dwarka Expressway manages to have an edge over other highways like Yamuna Expressway because of its direct connectivity to the Indira Gandhi International Airport and Gurgaon.

An area of 1 kilometer has been allocated for the same.A major impediment in the completion of the project was the land acquisition issue raised by those people who hold plots and houses in Dwarka Expressway. HUDA, taking a stand on this issue, granted legitimate compensation and land area to the petitioners in localities such as sector 110 A and 37 C after abiding by the court’s verdict for a reestablishment program on September 30, 2013.  
  •  An amount of Rs.1,233 crore has been sanctioned by the authorities to the actual land owners as compensation, which has still maintained the interest of the investors in the project.
