5 Recent Tech Tweaks By Authorities That Will Make Your Life Easy
Most of the times, we remember development and municipal bodies for being laggard, slow and inefficient. However, as the pressure has been mounting on them to get rid of the dubious distinction and start to work towards achieving smart goals, these bodies are seen implementing changes that are sure to get them some positive reviews.
Here are five recent technological tweaks made by municipal, development and state authorities that would simplify the buying, selling and investing process in the near future:
Getting close to people in Haryana
Most of the times, it so happens that a common has no idea where government-funded projects are coming. In Haryana, not anymore. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar recently launched the e-Bhoomi portal, a website meant for sale and purchase of government projects. While helping the state sell its projects, the portal will also enable sellers to offer for sale their land to the government. This will help Haryana create a land bank while engaging with land owners to become part of the decision-making process.
What's new in Noida
The technological prowess shown by the Noida Authority has been remarkable. The authority in December last year started delivering about 16,300 services related to commercial, industrial and institutional property online. Now, the authority is training its staff to make verifiable all the documents and certificates issued for Noida and Greater Noida. Soon, the online documents generated from the authority's website would have a digital signature and specific bar codes, ensuring the papers are authentic.
DDA going digital
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) , too, is working hard to go online across processes. In February, the DDA said it would start working towards digitising 77 activities, including land disposal and management. To ensure that a common man gets the hang of things smoothly, the development authority will set up citizen service across the national capital.
Pay property tax using app in South Delhi
On the other hand, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has decided to launch an application (app) , using which people can pay their property tax. The app will also enable users to link their land records. This means your mobile will now be your store for keeping land records. This gives a whole new meaning to the concept of going mobile.
