Blessed with beautiful scenery and a stunning landscape, Coorg or Kodagu is dubbed as the Scotland of India and very rightly so. This quaint little town is mostly famous for its natural beauty, lush greenery, coffee plantations and friendly people.

Coffee Plantations Coorg is famous for its coffee produce and beautiful coffee plantations. Take a tour of one of the coffee plantations in the town and learn all about coffee, right from how it’s grown to how it’s brewed. Also, don’t forget to try out the local coffee while you are in Coorg!

Namdroling Monastery A popular attraction of Coorg, the Namdroling Nyingmapa Tibetan Monastery is also known as the golden temple. The monastery is home to hundreds of Buddhist monks and is located in Bylakuppe, the second largest Tibetan settlement in India. A must-visit when in Coorg, the monastery offers an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

Dubare Elephant Camp Situated on the banks of River Kaveri, Dubare elephant camp is another famous attraction of Coorg. Tourists can enjoy elephant rides at the camp in addition to trekking, fishing, and river rafting.

Coorg easily accessible from major cities like Bangalore, Mangalore and Mysore and a number of accommodation options are available in the town.
