Standing tall, India Gate has been a part of India's independence story. Situated in the heart of the city, it is one of the most popular monuments in the city. India Gate, designed by Edwin Lutyens, is dedicated to all the Indian soldiers in the British Army who lost their lives in World War I. 

Today, this monument is surrounded by lush green gardens and man-made ponds, which act as a picnic spot for many.
