Luxury Housing: Top 5 Projects In The Hills

As the demand for luxury housing is growing, leading real estate developers are considering exotic hill stations as the next luxury destination. Tata Housing and DLF have already launched projects to cater to their holiday-home loving clientele. The 'Sama' series of DLF has been launched with focus on homes in the hills, and start at Rs. 3 crore. The idea has already taken off with two magnificent projects, namely Samatara, based in Shimla, and Samavana, based in Kasauli. Many other projects are also coming up in destinations like Lonavala, Nainital, Coorg, Ooty, as well as Kodaikanal.

One among the top townships in Himachal Pradesh and spread over 58 acres, DLF Samavana is planned to redefine luxury housing. Highlands, Near Shimla:

Dream Mansions, a New Delhi-based developer, has recently launched two projects, The Highlands and Highlands High. Located less than an hour's drive from Shimla, the twin projects comprise of studio apartments, 1BHK and 2BHK apartments, duplexes, as well as luxury cottages. Both these projects have excellent connectivity to NH 22, Theog, Chandigarh and NCR, and are based on Tuscany architecture using wood & stone so as to maintain the ecological balance.

DLF Samatara, Near Shimla:

The number of brokerage queries regarding luxury housing in hilly destinations has gone up by more than three times recently, according to sources. This is a good sign as we can be sure that the trend is shifting from an investment-driven approach to an end-user-demand driven approach. However, we need to keep in mind the fact that the locations for such projects are inevitably limited in terms of space. While the concept has gathered momentum for now, it is eventually bound to slow down due to environmental concerns and restrictions that cannot be overlooked.
