Step-By-Step Guide To Online Registration Of Tenants In Ahmedabad

In order to avoid long queues at police stations and fast track verification of tenants, the Ahmedabad Police have started an online process for tenant registration. Using the same channel, one can also register their domestic help. Since the exercise is termed mandatory by the state, landlords can get their tenants verified through the Ahmedabad Police portal or the Gujarat state portal.

Here is the procedure of registering the tenant online:

Through the Ahmedabad Police portal

  • Visit ahmedabadcitypolice(dot) org/services/tenant-bhaduat-online-registration/

  • Fill property owner details such as name, address, email id and mobile number
  • Choose the nearest police station from the drop-down menu

  • Upload the identity proof such as passport, driving license, pan card
  • Fill in tenant details such as name, permanent address, photo, identity proof
  • Upload ID proof of the mediator/witness in jpeg

    • Press send. You will get further confirmation on your email id.

    Through Gujarat state government portal

  • Visit gujhome(dot) gujarat(dot) gov(dot) in/portal/webHP
  • Choose city/district and police station from the drop-down menu.

  • Fill in tenant’s first name, husband/father name, date of birth, gender, occupation, contact number etc.
  • Fill in tenant agreement details such as rent agreement number, agreement start date and agreement end date.

  • Feed permanent address of the tenant into the form

  • Upload photo and ID proof of the tenant.
  • Submit the form after confirming the declaration. The confirmation mail will arrive in your inbox.
