Looking For a Plot In Hyderabad? Here Is Your Chance

If you are one of those people who prefer solo living to community living, and who, more importantly, can afford to meet that preference, here is news for you. The development body is Hyderabad is going to conduct online auction of as many as 95 plots spread over 1.44 lakh square yard in September. If the city of Nizams, which was recently ranked 27th in government’s ease of living index, and its real estate allures you, this is an opportunity worth trying your luck.

To go ahead you have to log on to the official website of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) ─ www (dot) hmda (dot) gov (dot) in—and register for the scheme. Hurry up already since the last date of registration is September 6. At the time of registration, you will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 500, along with goods and services tax. Ten per cent of the fixed price must also be deposited by the person to participate in the e-auction that would be held on September 9. The starting price for the bidding has been fixed at Rs 28,000. However, the bidder will have to start their bidding with Rs 28,100.

Within a week of the auction, the winners will have to then pay 25 per cent of the bidding amount after which they will be issued an allotment letter by the HMDA. In case a bidder is not in a position to immediately make the final payment, they will have a year to do so. However, based on the time they take in making the payment, they will have to pay interest. If a winner is able to pay the amount in 90 days, he will have to pay an additional 10 per cent interest. Similarly, if a successful bidder makes the payment within 180 days, he will have to pay 12 per cent as interest. One could also deposit this amount in a year after paying an interest of 15 per cent. 

Where are these plots?

While 67 of all plots are situated in across Uppal Bhagat layout near Nagole, the reaming 28 plots are spread across Anantaram, Attapur, Bachupally, Chandanagar, Dhulapally, Mailardevpally, Nallagandla, Neknampur, Tellapur and Vanastalipuram. These 28 plots remained unsold in the previous e-auction held in April this year. At that time, the HMDA has e-auctioned 210 plots.
