Pune's Undri Offers 1BHK Unit Starting At Rs 25 Lakh

June 02, 2017   |   Surbhi Gupta

Located at the southern side of the Pune city, Undri is one of those areas that have seen rapid urbanisation in past five years. Several reputed developers have launched their projects in the area in the last decade. Owing to this, the availability of the options have been enough to attract buyers, looking for homes within a modest budget. Though the Maharashtra government has announced to include this village within Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) limit, the authority is yet to take over the area.

Currently, there are 104 ready-to-move-in and over 50 under-construction projects at Undri.

Here are some interesting insights about the area:

Close to IT-hub

The area has been developed as one of the closest residential hubs to Magarpatta IT City and other commercial hubs of east Pune. Those living on rent close to their offices are further moving to the south towards Undri for property purchase due to affordability.

Developed yet serene

Unlike other concrete jungles of Pune, Undri still has a serene environment. The residential areas are adequately covered with greenery, making it a preference among homebuyers, who are upgrading from rental property to their own.

Connectivity is a high point

Undri is finely connected with other key areas of the city, including Pune Camp, Kharadi, Hadapsar, etc. The area is connected to the main city through series of national highways, state highways and bypass roads that make the commute easier. However, the stretch of the Katraj-Hadapsar Bypass Road that passes through Undri village is in a poor condition currently.

Need to know

Have made up your mind on investing in Undri? Kindly note that:

  • So far, there is no clarity how Undri will be taking care of its waste disposal as the PMC has refused treating waste received from Undri due to lack of capacity.
  • There are a number of illegally constructed projects in the area. Encroachments and unauthorised development at Undri have increased and homebuyers often get trapped in such deals.
  • Undri's connectivity to the main area through public transport requires upgrade. The frequency of state-run buses is poor which causes hassle to daily commuters.
