Builders are reportedly reducing apartment sizes to make them more affordable for the buyers. There is already a big drive for affordable homes in India and the demand is very high for such apartments. This report states that builders across markets are constructing apartments with smaller configuration by reducing average apartment size. 

Rajasthan government has pitched four cities to the central government for the Smart City Project. The cities pitched include Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur and Kota. Meanwhile, the Chattisgarh's state level empowered committee has also selected Raipur and Bilaspur for the Smart City Project. 

A recent report by the international real estate research group, Colliers International, has revealed that Gurgaon has more takers than Noida for office spaces. Read here.

The first is ACE Group Architects, which has bagged the best institutional architecture award at the second BERG Real Estate Awards held in Singapore for designing the Redbridge International Academy, Bengaluru. And, the second is the construction company, Geopreneur Group of India, which has been awarded as the 'Emerging Developer of the Year Award' at the National Award for Real Estate and Infrastructure 2015 in Mumbai. 

Upcoming real estate event: The Hindu Business Line is organising its three-day annual event, Construction, Architecture & Interiors 2015, in Chennai from August 7 to 9. The newspaper describes the event as "the place to be in, if you are looking for the latest products and services that go into the built up space."
