The Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that there will be a single window clearance system for urban projects by November 30. The minister said that this is to prevent delays in granting approvals to urban projects. Read more.

After meeting the Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the Mumbai coastal road project will soon receive approval of the central government. The road, when completed, is expected to connect South to Kandivalli in North. Read more.

The Maharashtra state government will soon build a six lane expressway between Mumbai and Nagpur. The expressway is being built to lower commuting time between two of these cities from 16 to 18 hours to 10 hours. Read more.

The Madhya Pradesh government has proposed a Rs 1,656 crore plan to improve urban infrastructure. Urban local authorities of areas with a population of over one million will bear 16.67 per cent of the costs of the project. Read more.
