The race for acquiring beleaguered Jaypee Infratech, which is yet to deliver 25,000 flats and villas in and around Noida, has narrowed to four players — Adani Group, Sajjan Jindal’s JSW, Suraksha Asset Reconstruction Company and a consortium comprising Kotak Realty Fund and Cube Highways.

Several areas in Delhi are likely to see heavy congestion between March 9 and 12, the Delhi Traffic Police has said, asking people to prepare accordingly. The worst-hit are likely to be the central Delhi area and stretches connecting it to the airport. The rush in traffic is owing to the ongoing International Solar Alliance Summit that is being held in the national capital.

Nonagenarian architect and reputed urban planner Balkrishna Doshi has been named this year's winner of the Pritzker Prize. He is the first Indian to have got the architecture world’s highest honour. Doshi is behind the architecture of the IIM-Bangalore building, the Institute of Indology building, the Premabhai Hall and the Aranya Low Cost Housing.

Final shape is being given to a proposed law that will replace the existing two laws related to construction, operation and maintenance of Metro networks across the country. Urban Affairs Secretary D S Mishra has said the new law has been warranted because the paradigm in the field has changed.
