Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Adityanath would launch the Metro link between Noida and Greater Noida on January 25. The 29.7-km link, known as Aqua Line, would run between Sector 51 station in Noida and the Depot Station in Greater Noida, connecting two major real estate markets in the region.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will launch its housing scheme for 2019 on January 18. This year, the DDA will allot homes on a first-come-first-serve basis, chucking the old practice of conducting lucky draws. A total of 1,250 1BHK flats are up for sale in this year’s housing scheme.

The Ghaziabad District Administration has said that there could be a likely increase in the cost and sizes of homes built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. After the hike, rates of a unit would reach Rs 6.5 lakh from the current Rs 4.5 lakh. The district has to build 35,000 homes by 2022 under the scheme.

In its draft Budget for financial year 2019-20, the Pune Municipal Corporation has proposed a 12 per cent hike in property tax rate. Apart from this, those living in Pune will also have to shell out an additional 15 per cent on their water bills as the PMC has already approved a hike in this regard.
