India's information capital Bengaluru has top a list of 20 most dynamic cities in the world. According to a report by a global property consultant, real estate growth in these 20 cities continues to be robust despite an overall sluggish performance by the sector worldwide. Hyderabad and Delhi have been ranked second and fourth in the list, respectively. While Pune occupies the fifth slot in the list, Chennai and Kolkata have been ranked seventh and 15th, respectively.

To provide suitable infrastructure for electronic vehicles, the housing ministry has said that buildings, residential as well as commercial, will have to keep 20 per cent of their "vehicle-holding capacity" to provide charging facility for such vehicles. In such a scenario, buildings will also have to increase their power loading capacity.

Maharashtra has for the third time in a row won the title to be the biggest municipal solid waste generators in the country in 2018, data available with the housing ministry shows. Of the 5.29 crore metric tonne (MT) waste India generates every year, Maharashtra generates 82.38 lakh MT. The second and third biggest waste generator are Uttar Pradesh (61.3 lakh mt) and Tamil Nadu (56 lakh mt) .

This year, about 40,000 housing units will be delivered in Noida and Greater Noida, the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has said. The authority has made the prediction after a series of inspections of ongoing housing projects carried out in December last year.
