The government is set to evaluate the performance of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) . A comprehensive evaluation of implementation and outcomes of various JNNURM projects in Pune and other cities is on the cards. The evaluation, to be conducted by the ministry of housing and urban affairs, will look into the extent of realisation of JNNURM's stated goals.

The Barapullah Phase-III work, stuck for nearly two years due to delay in land acquisition in the Yamuna floodplain, will finally pick up pace. Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal has asked the Ambedkar University to carry out the social impact assessment for acquiring land for the project. While work has started on both ends of the 3.4 kilometre-long elevated corridor, public works department officials said the work on a nearly 700 metre-long stretch located in the riverbed couldn't start as it was privately owned.

Around 10,000 housing societies in Mumbai and thousands more in Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune and other cities are likely to get ownership soon of the land on which their buildings have stood for decades. The deemed conveyances can finally come through for them as the government has removed the condition of submission of occupation certificate as one of the eight documents needed to get the nod.

A Pune-based senior citizen has lodged a complaint with the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) against Lavasa Corporation for delay in possession of a flat by over five years at Lavasa hill station. In reply, the authority has requested the person to submit sale agreement documents within the next 45 days.
