The Greater Cochin Development Authority (GDCA) has begun leasing out high rises to private parties as the civic body failed to find potential buyers for the apartments in these buildings. So far, six apartments have been leased, while the GDCA plans to lease out another 25 studio apartments. The flats are being leased out for five years with a five per cent rise in rentals every year. Now, citizens can access data about properties such as basic details, lease details, survey and settlement records, fencing, property registration, orders and approvals, renewals, litigation and lease payment details at the click of a mouse.
