#RealtyNewsRoundUp: DDA To Set Up Single-Window System For Land Pooling Policy

For simplifying the land-pooling process for building housing for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) , the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will set up a single-window clearance mechanism. Under the land pooling policy, a group of people pool their land and give it to the DDA, which then develops basic infrastructure around it.

A seven-member Japanese delegation has shown their interest in investing about Rs 3,000 crore across 250 acres of land in Greater Noida. If the investment does take place, 20,000 new jobs will be created through it.

State-owned housing development agencies, including the Bangalore Development Authority and the Karnataka Housing Board, have agreed to register their projects under the Karnataka Real Estate Regulation Authority (KRERA) . Once these layouts are registered, government agencies will have to complete their projects on time or face action.

State-run developer NBCC (India) may acquire Engineering Projects, Hindustan Prefab and Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation to create a mega construction company, in line with the push for consolidation among public sector companies. The government came up with guidelines last year to close loss-making state-run enterprises and dispose of their assets, including land.
