#RealtyNewsRoundUp: Delhi’s Signature Bridge Open For Public Use

After a delay of eight years, Delhi’s much-awaited Signature Bridge was finally inaugurated on November 4 by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and deputy CM Manish Sisodia. The iconic bridge, which will be thrown open for public on November 5, is expected to significantly reduce traffic in areas of north and northeast Delhi. The new landmark is double the height of Qutub Minar.

A total penalty of Rs. 83 lakh was imposed on violators by the teams deployed to monitor implementation of measures to combat pollution in the Delhi NCR under the Clean Air Campaign. An aggressive ten-day-long 'Clean Air Campaign' from November 1 to 10 has been launched by Union Environment Ministry to monitor and report polluting activities as well as to ensure quick action. These teams are visiting different parts of Delhi and adjacent towns of Faridabad, Gurugram, Ghaziabad and Noida.

The Maharashtra Housing And Area Development Authority (MHADA) announced a housing scheme for which the draws will be held on December 16. The EWS flats have a price band of Rs 14 lakh to Rs 20 lakh, the LIG homes will cost between Rs 20 lakh and Rs 30 lakh while the MIG homes prices have been fixed at Rs 35 lakh to Rs 60 lakh. The HIG homes are priced Rs 60 lakh and more.

The  Tamil Nadu registration department is going to digitize around 50 crore pages of property documents within a deadline of just 180 days. Scanning machines will be taken to each of the 575 sub-registrar offices across the state to scan the documents. Registration department officials said the goal is to make old property documents dating back more than 150 years available at the click of a mouse to the common man.
