Modifying its earlier order that stayed insolvency proceedings against Jaypee Infratech, the Supreme Court has now directed the Insolvency Resolution Professional (IRP) to take over the management of the company and submit an interim resolution plan within 45 days. The court has also directed the Jaiprakash Associates to deposit Rs 2,000 crore to the court by October 27 to safeguard the interest of homebuyers.

The government has fetched approvals from the Indian Air Force to allow regional airlines to launch flights out of the Hindon airbase instead of the existing Delhi airport.

The Jaipur Metro Rail Corporation (JMRC) has appointed French company EGIS Rail SA in joint venture with EGIS India Consulting Engineers and Feedback India to review the detailed project report (DPR) of the Jaipur Metro Phase-II. The line would cover areas between Ambabari and Sitapura localities. The DPR will be reviewed by international experts.
