Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has called demonetisation a “watershed moment in the history of Indian economy”. The move resulted in cleansing of India's real estate sector, washing out black money component or making such routes traceable.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will be meeting his counterparts in Punjab and Haryana to discuss measures to bring down the alarming pollution levels. Delhi's air quality has deteriorated as a combined effect of smoke from stubble burning and moisture which has turned the city into a "gas chamber" leaving people gasping and prompting authorities to announce the closure of primary schools and a four-fold hike in parking fees among a series of sweeping measures.

The Haryana government has approved the master plan for Faridabad for the year 2031. The State level Committee of the Town and Country Planning Department has finalised the Draft Development Plan for an expected population of 38 lakh till 2031.

The interim Haryana Real Estate Regulatory Authority has slapped notices on 140 residential projects across the state for “not applying” for registration under the Act. The number also includes the projects for which applications had been submitted but in “wrong format” or were “incomplete”. All these projects are currently under construction and haven't received any occupation certificate.
