#RealtyNewsRoundUp: Haryana To Now Issue Occupation Certificate In 8 Days
For those constructing a house in Haryana could now file for an occupation certificate by a self-declaration. The government has amended the Haryana Building Code, 2017, which will now allow a person building a home to give a self-certification through a recognised architect to the department of town and country planning. With this, the government expects to issue an occupation certificate in eight working days, in case their papers are approved and the design follows the rules of construction.

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has issued a bailable warrant against the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) managing director Mangu Singh for failure of its officials to appear before it to apprise it on the installation of rainwater harvesting systems. The tribunal had directed the official to be present to explain why the rainwater harvesting systems could not be installed at some locations of the Delhi Metro. The matter will now be heard on February 14.

Following a day-long Bandh in Maharashtra, lakhs of Mumbaikars on January 3 struggled to reach their destinations as the suburban rail services and road transport were affected. Local train commuters struggled to reach offices while motorists remained stuck on roads due to the demonstrations in various parts of the city and the extended suburbs. Services of suburban trains, known as the lifeline of Mumbai, remained disrupted for hours on Central Railway's Main and Harbour Lines, and briefly on Western Railway. Many routes were blocked by protestors while some cases of burning of public transport were reported, too.

The Rajasthan government has announced that it will construct 25 long-span bridges at a cost of Rs 161 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY) . The Union ministry will spend Rs 44.56 crore whereas Rs 116.59 crore will be shared by the state. Of the total, 12 bridges will be constructed in Baran, seven in Udaipur, two in Sirohi and one each in Bundi and Sri Ganganagar district, Khan informed.
