India would co-host the first International Solar Alliance Summit (ISA) with France on March 11 in the national capital. At least 10 heads of state are expected to be present at the event. The summit will see representation from over 120 countries and multilateral bodies such as the United Nations, the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. The ISA is a treaty-based international body for promotion of solar energy.

About 10,647 homebuyers who invested Amrapali Group projects in Greater Noida could get the possession of their units in a matter of 3-15 months. According to the details provided by the company to the Supreme Court on February 22, the embattled real estate major would be able to deliver about these units in 19 towers of its Leisure Park project in Greater Noida with help from the outside ─ the company has told the apex court that 13 developers are willing to assist it accomplish the task that would require an amount no less than Rs 87.28 crore.***
The National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission on February 22 directed real estate developer Unitech to refund Rs 4.37 crore to a Gurgaon resident for delay in delivery of the home. Additionally, Unitech will have to pay the buyer Rs 25,000 as compensation. The man had booked a flat in the company’s Espace Premier Nirvana Country-2 project at Sector 78 in Gurgaon. The property was supposed to be handed over to him by April 2014. While giving its order, the apex consumer commission set aside Unitech’s argument that it failed to deliver the project due to “circumstances beyond its control”.

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has listed its municipal bonds on the Bombay Stock Exchange’s debt platform. Earlier, the civic body had raised Rs 200 crore by selling the 10-year bonds, becoming the second civic body in the country to tap funds from this route this financial year after its counterpart in Pune. The GHMC is also planning to raise another Rs 800 crore through the bond market in the coming days.
