Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has launched work for India's first high-speed train in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's native state of Gujarat. Mostly funded by a $17-billion loan from Japan, the bullet train will run between Ahmedabad city and Mumbai.

The Inspector General of Registration and Controller of Stamps (IGR) Department of Maharashtra has registered a 28 per cent rise in property registrations for the first five months of the financial year as compared to the previous year. There were 2,01,764 property registrations in the state in the last financial year which increased to 2,58,051 registrations.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has formulated a draft policy to enable planned development of privately-owned lands. This policy will enable development of privately-owned land parcels through spatial planning and facilitation of basic infrastructure services, thereby integrating these parcels with the adjoining development.

Noida and Greater Noida authorities have summoned developers of 70 ongoing projects in both cities. While the Greater Noida Authority has scheduled a meeting with developers on September 15, the Noida Authority has fixed September 16 as the date for the meeting. Developers will be sharing details of their projects in the meeting.
