The Karnataka Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) has registered about 80 complaints against developers across the state in the past 62 days. Majority of these complaints are against projects in Bengaluru. The most common complaints are on delayed delivery of homes and developer's failure to provide promised amenities.

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) is mulling setting up a recovery cell to collect its outstanding dues from defaulting allottees. The authority has to collect Rs 6,800 crores as dues. Meanwhile, GNIDA has also started issuing notices to the defaulting allottees, warning of cancellation of allotment if they do not pay dues.

Two under construction buildings were sealed by the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority (CMDA) for violating the planning permission at George Town and Royapettah. The two buildings had constructed an additional floor, deviating from the approved plan.
***Financial services company Piramal Finance has announced entry into retail housing finance business through its wholly owned subsidiary Piramal Housing Finance. The housing finance company will offer home loans as well as loans against property and construction finance for small developers.
