#RealtyNewsRoundup: Maharashtra To Take Action Against Unregistered Developers
The Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) is planning to take suo motu action against property developers whose ongoing projects have not been registered after the July-31deadline passed. About 9,000 ongoing projects and 7,200 property brokers in the state had applied for registration with the authority till that date.
Meanwhile, Goa has extended the deadline to October for ongoing projects to register with the RERA, even though the Central government and other states have clearly refused to grant an extension.

The Ghaziabad Development Authority rejected the applications for completion certificate filed by various developers for 24 real estate projects, after terming them incomplete. According to GDA officials, an inquiry by its enforcement wing found several shortcomings in the projects.

The Centre has given an environmental clearance for redeveloping Pragati Maidan in the heart of the national capital, by setting up a world-class integrated exhibition- cum-convention centre, at a cost of Rs 1,677 crore. The project is likely to generate 250-300 employment opportunities during the construction phase.
