Following Bhartiya Janta Party's impressive showing in the Mumbai civic elections chief minister Devendra Fadnavis sanctioned 12 projects worth a whopping Rs 833 crore for tier-II municipal corporations and cities. The projects that were approved will be a part of the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme, in which the Centre is also pooling in funds.
Global taxi-hailing platform Uber said it has partnered with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) across 12 metro stations to provide last mile connectivity to everyday commuters.
