A delegation of homebuyers, who have invested in various projects across the national capital region, held a meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to request an undiluted version of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, in the state. The CM reportedly assured buyers their concerns will be addressed.
In a move to make online auction of properties user-friendly, the Haryana urban Development Authority (Huda) is making changes on its website. This will ensure timely delivery of information to people who want to participate in the bidding process. Those who wish to participate have to register on the site by paying a nominal fee and then pay two per cent of the reserve property price, which is refundable.
For recognised incubators or startups keen to buy or rent space property, Maharashtra has proposed a 100 per cent waiver on stamp duty and registration fees on their first transaction and 50 per cent waiver on the second. The provision is part of a draft policy now in the public domain.
The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board has issued a notification making sewage treatment plants and dual-piping system mandatory for all existing apartments having 50 and more residential units/buildings measuring 5,000 square metres and above, whichever is lower.
