From November 1, it will be possible to register land, residence or commercial property online in Uttar Pradesh. The state revenue department is in process of training its staff to carry out the task.

The Bombay High Court has lifted its stay order on grant of occupation and commencement certificates to new constructions and building projects on the Ghodbunder Road in Thane and Baner and Balewadi in Pune. This comes as a major relief for developers as well as homebuyers.

Shivshahi Punervasan Prakalp Ltd (SPPL) and State Bank of India (SBI) have joined hands to finance those building projects in Mumbai that have made no headway since long. SPPL is a special purpose vehicle set up by the state government to push for slum rehabilitation. While the SPPL will finance the rehabilitation component of the project, SBI will finance the sales part.

Veteran actor Dilip Kumar's bungalow at Pali Hill in Mumbai will soon give way to a multi-storeyed building which will not only have his apartment but also a museum dedicated to his illustrious career in Bollywood. Kumar and his actress-wife Saira Banu will own 50 per cent of the building after the redevelopment.
