The Supreme Court has directed the non-institutional directors of infrastructure company Jaiprakash Associate Limited (JAL) to appear in person before it next week, and furnish details of their personal assets. The apex court's direction came in the wake of its September-11 directive to the Jaypee Associates to deposit Rs 2,000 crore by October 27 to protect the interests of homebuyers and creditors.
Meanwhile, metals and mining giant Vedanta has submitted a preliminary expression of interest for Jaypee Infratech. The EoI invited by insolvency resolution professional (IRP) has received response from various entities, including corporates and asset reconstruction companies.

The Delhi government has decided to work out a standard operating procedure for aerially sprinkling of water in the city to settle particulate matter as part of efforts to tackle the alarming levels of pollution. Environment Minister Imran Hussain said he held a joint meeting with Pawan Hans, an aviation entity, and certain departments of the Centre to explore aerial sprinkling feasibility.

The Delhi Cabinet has approved setting up of Delhi Village Development Board (DVDB) which will look after civic works in both rural and urban villages in the national capital. The DVDB will subsume the Delhi Rural Development Board, meant for carrying out development works only in villages.

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation has granted toll tax exemption to the trucks entering the national capital between midnight November 13 up till midnight of November 15 with food items such as vegetables and fruits.
Meanwhile, the SDMC also approved an amnesty scheme to provide substantial relief in property tax to residents in unauthorised colonies. Under the scheme, the property-owners in unauthorised colonies will become entitled to 100 per cent remission of the amount, on making the payment by December 31.
