Decks are now clear for the launch of a Metro rail network in Agra with the Uttar Pradesh government allocating Rs 175 crore for the project last week. The project got a clearance from the Public Investment Board recently. Running on two routes, the proposed Metro network will be around 30-kilometre long.

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said that a comprehensive master plan would be formulated to convert Hyderabad into a truly global city. The Administrative Staff College of India would formulate the plan in consultation with a team of national and international experts, keeping in view the future needs of the city, Rao said.
