The Uttar Pradesh Housing Board has raised the circle rates for residential and commercial plots for all sectors of Vasundhara. The revised circle rates, which came into effect from April 1, 2017, have been hiked by approximately 16 per cent. Under the residential category, circle rates have been hiked from Rs 42,000 per square meter (sqm) to Rs 48,800 per sqm for even-numbered sectors. For odd-numbered sectors, the rate for residential plots has been hiked from Rs 38,000 per sqm to Rs 44,100 per sqm.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is all set to venture into the residential real estate market and will soon put up over 500 flats for sale in the Rs 60-lakh to Rs 1-crore range. Around 460 flats would be built at the national capital's Janakpuri locality while 90 at Okhla within two years.

The Pune Municipal Corporation has so far been able to tag 1.5 lakh properties with the geographical information system (GIS) since it started the work five months back. A GIS mapping helps highlighting encroachment on open plots.

Devotees of Saibaba can hope to fly to Shirdi from next month. The Shirdi airport in Ahmednagar district will be the first airfield developed and managed by the Maharashtra Airport Development Company Limited. Initially, four to five flights from the airport from major cities such as Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad will be operational. More routes will be added in future.
