With the advent of e-commerce, from books to technology products, and day-to-day kitchen items to high-end jewellery, everything is now a touch away in India. And now, the latest entrant to the never ending list of items on e-retail sites is cement. Reliance Cement, a subsidiary of Reliance Infrastructure, has entered into the online space to sell cement.

Initially the e-tailing facility will be available in three states Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharasthra.

The facility will be available for a minimum order of 25 bags, and the order would be to deliver within 48 hours, a company spokesperson said.

The company currently produces 5.5 million tonne cement per annum from its Maihar, Kundanganj and Butibori plants.

Reliance Cement plans to achieve a manufacturing capacity of 15.5 million tonne over the coming years by completing two plants of 5 million tonne each at Maihar and Mukutban in Yavatmal district of Maharashtra.
