Sonam Kapoor is the latest in the line of Bollywood actors who yearn to move out of their parents' homes. Sonam Kapoor recently bought a luxurious duplex apartment in Sunteck Signature Island in Bandra-Kurla complex.
Spread over 7,000 sq. ft., this apartment in Mumbai costs Rs 35 crore. The apartment is priced at Rs 50,000 per sq. ft. The flat has three spacious bedrooms, a living room, a Jacuzzi-attached bathroom, and a walk-in closet.
Sunteck Signature Island has a mini-theatre, which she can use to screen her movies. Sonam Kapoor is actor Anil Kapoor's daughter, and is considered one of the most fashionable and outspoken actresses in Bollywood. She is expected to move into this property in Mumbai in 11 months.

The Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) in Mumbai has for long been pegged as an alternative to Nariman Point, the financial hub of Mumbai. Now home to some of the biggest business houses, the complex is now gaining much attention due to celebrities and corporate czars who have chosen to buy homes here.
The likes of former Citigroup CEO Vikram Pandit; Ashok Wadhwa, group CEO of financial services firm Ambit Holdings Pvt. Ltd. And Gautam Adani, head of the Adani Group; are among those who have bought luxury homes for Rs.30 crore and upwards in Signature Island. Some of the enviable features of the project include concierge services, apart from the usual luxury amenities.
Apart from the headquarters and regional offices of many banks, BKC also houses the Securities and Exchange Board of India, National Stock Exchange, and the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.
