Want to see the best things that an urban living can provide? Come to Gurgaon. Not only is it home to Delhi's elite, this suburb can provide you everything that best cities in India can and should offer - cool hangouts, food, fun and frolic. All of this is at your disposal in Gurgaon, without even making the trip to Delhi!

1. Kingdom of Dreams: Leisure is taken very seriously in Gurgaon. There are many entertainment houses and one of them is appropriately called the 'Kingdom of Dreams'. It has a makeshift mahal and a theatre that hosts regular performances. The 'Leisure Valley Park' is for those, who are looking for a lush green surrounding amidst the skyscrapers. It is no simple park though; it has totally relaxing play areas for children and also a healthy food restaurant called 'The Roots'. Other playful games like paintball fighting too are available for those who love frolic.

Aapno Ghar amusement park too is designed for complete family entertainment. Only for children, there is the Stellar Children's Museum for daylong entertainment. If you want a simple picnic, you can pack your lunch and head to Tikli Bottom.

2. Temples and tombs: Gurgaon is not just a concrete jungle. This part of the city has enough history to boast of. Qutub Khan's Tomb, built in the 18th century, is a Mughal marvel. Though most of it exists in the form of ruins, the Architectural Society of India is renovating the monument.

Want to see buses, trams, cars and two-wheelers from the past? Head to the heritage Transport Museum, which has all of this and also a restored railway saloon from the 1930s. It also has a rare collection of stamps, photographs and other memorabilia. Sai ka Angal temple and Sheetla Devi Mandir too are popular with tourists.

3. Biological parks:  Gurgaon has seen considerable amount of construction in the last few years. However, the Damadama Lake  and The Lost Lake not just make for stunning views, but also offer enough peace and serenity away from the crowd. If you want more of nature, you can head to Sultanpur National Park Bird Sanctuary, Tau Devi Lal Biodiversity Park or Aravalli Biodiversity Park for more wonders off the city.

4. Dance on the tables: Gurgaon is just a flyover away from Delhi. No wonder, the city revels in its party culture. It offers some of the best nightclubs and discos, attracting crowds from Delhi in large numbers.

Dancing on the tables is not allowed in many bars. Stop being formal at the Buzz in north Gurgaon, though. Sandy Cocktails is for foodies, who love to eat out often. If you want your weekend handout to transport you to ecstasy, you can head to 3D Lounge Bar that has mind-blowing interiors and a combination of resto bar and night club under one roof.  If you are looking for candlelight dinners, go to Turquiose Cottage to unwind and relax.
