Going To Register Your Property? Here Are The Sub-Registrar Offices Near You

August 11 2016   |   Sunita Mishra

Why is it important to know sub-registrar office address? The official website of the Karnataka Revenue Department explains it quite simply. "By registration, the transaction of an immovable property will become a permanent public record," the page reads. It further explains that under the Transfer of Property Act, title or interest over a property can be acquired only if the deed is registered. This is why registering a property is a must for all home buyers, no matter how tiring the process is. This property registration takes place in sub-registrar offices in the different regions of every city.

While smaller cities do not have multiple property registration offices, the major metro cities of the country have several sub-registrar offices, as the number of property transactions here is much higher.

To keep you better informed about the process, PropGuide lists the sub-registrar offices in the four major metro cities of India.
