Tata Housing for mall at Boisar township
Tata Housing has entered the retail space on its 65-acre integrated township at Boisar, near here. The company will invest Rs 65 crore for building a 8,500-sqft mall on the premises.
The residential component, under joint venture with land owners, is being developed at an investment of Rs 250 crore. About 2,500 low-cost and affordable units (360 to 1,100 sqft) are being built.
The retail venture will take shape into a hypermarket, which will cater to daily requirements of the township by offering a range of products such as apparel, accessories and services like a bank branch, ATMs, restaurants and entertainment.
Mr. Brotin Banerjee, Managing Director, Tata Housing, said, “It is much more than a collection of shops with basic infrastructure and shopping environment. Planned to fit the locality and geography into which it is built, it is air-conditioned and mapped for customers to actually spend time rather than rush off.”
