In major relief to thousands of Amrapali homebuyers, the three-member panel formed by the Uttar Pradesh government to resolve the dispute has said that co-developers will be roped in to complete the delayed projects. The panel has given Amrapali one month to start the construction of projects and two years to complete them.

The Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association has demanded that registration for new apartments be granted according to carpet area and according to circle rates of year 2010. The buyers positioned these demands with the committee of visiting officers who have been deputed to address the concerns of buyers in Noida by the Uttar Pradesh government.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) would hand over possession of 2,970 flats in its affordable group housing plan located at Sector 22D. The authority has built a total of 5,100 flats for middle-and-low income groups. These residential flats have also received a green certification from the Indian Green Building Council.

The government will be building 2.17 lakh more houses for urban poor in six states, including Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Assam. The new numbers take the total tally to about 26 lakh homes which have to be built across the country under a Central scheme. A Central assistance of Rs 40,597 crore has been approved for construction of these houses.

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram has issued show-cause notices to 635 paying guest houses in the city while 66 have been ordered to be sealed. The corporation has been conducting surveys of residential areas to gauge the extent and the number of such properties. The survey began after a complaint was filed in the Allottee Grievance Redressal Forum about illegal PGs in the city.
