Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) and the Kundli-Ghaziabad-Palwal (KGP) expressways in March. Khattar said the construction work on those expressways would be completed within the prescribed time frame, and it would help in getting rid of traffic jams.

The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has planned to create at least a dozen ring-fenced entities (RFEs) for the execution of "remunerative projects" such as water and power supply, transport and a host of others in the upcoming capital city, Amaravati. The overall lAmaravati development is projected to cost Rs 42,000 crore in the next tree-four years.

The Navi Mumbai Municipal corporation (NMMC) has offered cash reward to those people who report about illegal dumping of debris or garbage within the city limits, especially in the mangrove areas. The move is aimed at ensuring that debris is not dumped illegally or in a haphazard manner.

Marking its third anniversary, the Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government has announced a slew of schemes that will benefit the citizens of the national capital. The government will focus on developing roads and drainage systems in unauthorised colonies, provide free travel for senior citizens in all DTC buses and also, fulfill its promise of free Wi-Fi across the national capital. The government also plans to set up 900 Mohalla Clinics in next nine months.

Tourists visiting the Taj Mahal will have to pay more from April 1, as the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to charge Rs 200 from those wishing to see the main mausoleum of the Unesco World Heritage Site. Currently, there is no separate fee for entering the mausoleum. The entry fee will be increased to Rs 50 from the current Rs 40. The Supreme Court recently directed the Uttar Pradesh government to submit a vision document on the preservation of the monument.
