The Jewar airport will soon be a reality as the aviation ministry gives an in-principle approval for the development. The Greenfield airport near Greater Noida will be developed to cater to the growing flying requirements of the national capital region. An area of 3,000 hectares has been notified for the airport and is expected to attract Rs 20,000 crore as investments.

In a move to mobilise funds for the Rs 34,000-crore mega loan waiver, the Maharashtra government may now increase rent and lease rates on government land as well as monetise large tracts that currently fetch little revenue. In a recent development, it was observed that the lease rents on government land have not been renewed for a long period. There were also reports of organisations flouting the lease conditions, too.

The Delhi Development Authority's new housing scheme with 12,000 flats on offer has been rolled out. Out of the total number of flats, most of them are in Rohini, Dwarka, Narela, Vasant Kunj and Jasola, 10,000 unoccupied flats are from the 2014 housing scheme, while 2,000 flats had been lying vacant. The urban body has tied up with 10 banks for the sale of application forms and scheme-related transactions.

In a request posed to the lieutenant governor of the national capital, the Delhi assembly has passed a resolution to grant ownership rights to families, which were allotted land in the 1970s and 80s. According to the reports, small pieces of land was allotted to poor families, including Dalits and widows almost four decades ago but have not been given ownership rights yet.
