Where To Find Ready-To-Move Homes In Mumbai?

Looking for ready to move homes in Mumbai, Thane or Navi Mumbai, check out these areas where the inventory stock is maximum and in varying price range. Currently, there are over 800 projects in Mumbai and 1,000 projects in Navi Mumbai and Thane which are ready to move. 

While South Mumbai is still one of the most expensive sub-market where property prices are nothing below Rs 20,000 per sq ft, western and eastern suburbs are comparatively affordable and has a number of ready to move projects. Currently, Mumbai region has over 1,800 ready-to-move in projects. As buyers and investors are betting on completed projects rather than on under-construction units, here is a list of areas where you can find ready properties under different budget segment.

 Mumbai suburbs

Kandivali, Malad, Ghatkopar, Juhu, Andheri, Vasai are some of the localities in Mumbai where ready projects are taking the market by storm. As most of the projects are completely sold out, buyers can consider resale properties which are available at competitive rates. A 700-750 sq ft apartment is offered at a starting price of Rs 1.2 crore in Andheri West while a 3BHK unit is available for Rs 2.06 crore in Andheri East.

Areas like Vasai and Virar are considered as the most affordable ones as they lie in the extended suburbs of the city but have excellent connectivity to the main city via local trains and BEST buses. The upcoming metro connectivity is expected to boost property prices in this part of the city as it will make the commute smoother and more comfortable. 

Navi Mumbai

The new town is a hub for finding new properties as most of the projects are just entering the possession phase. Most of them are centered in Karanjade, Ulwe, Ghansoli, Panvel, Airoli, Taloja and Kharghar where the infrastructure is getting developed at a fast pace. The property prices here varies between Rs 36- 80 lakh. The most popular property configuration is 2BHK which are sized in the range of 900-1,100 sq ft. Some of the projects are nearing completion and would be ready for possession in the next six months. Such properties are available at discounted prices.  

Thane

Areas such as Thane West have ready to move projects built by reputed real estate developers such as Rustomjee, Cosmos, Puraniks etc. Apart from this, Badlapur, Kalyan East, Dombivli, Lodha Palava City are some other localities that offer properties at a starting price of Rs 30 lakh. There are not many ready to move projects in other parts of Thane as the infrastructure is still in developing phase. Other upcoming localities where few projects are entering possession phase in the next three months are Ghodbunder Road and Naupada. Few villa and studio apartments projects are also coming up in these areas to cater to the growing hospitality demand in the area. The average property price in Thane is Rs 10,000 per sq ft, comparable to Mumbai.
