Why You Failed To Sell Your Property In 2017
Everybody told you this is not really a good time to sell property. Prices were falling down. However, not all of you may have a choice in the matter. For personal reasons, it was imperative you sold your property this year. However, the year is about to be over and you have not been able to find a buyer. What could have stopped this from happening? You property is located at a fairly nice location and is well-maintained. Ideally, such a property should have found a taker easily, in no time at all.
What could have gone wrong?
Are you refusing to budge?
As we said earlier, the market is gradually recovering. You may have to reduce the price of the property if you are in a dire need to sell it. Refusing to budge on pricing may not be the right strategy at this juncture. Do remember that the longer your property stays in the market, the harder you may find to get a buyer. Properties that are not sold quickly are seen with a suspicious eye from prospective buyers.
Are you not online?
If you are still sticking with the conventional methods to find a buyer, it may take many more years to sell your property. All buyers living in the big city go to the internet to find properties. A significant part of the decision-making is also concluded online itself. In fact, those living in Tier-II cities have also begun to depend on the internet to buy homes. Even if it is quite late already, go online now. In case you are not familiar with the process, it is high time you did so.
Did you tell your friends about it?
When we said you have to adopt new methods to find takers we in no way meant you have the option to ignore the conventional methods. Depending entirely on the internet is also not the right strategy. So, let your friends, family members and colleagues know that your property is up for sale. These people will help you free of cost. Also remember that when a friend connects you with a buyer, doing business would be comparatively faster and easier.
Have you been too choosy?
We are proud of our assets, and, to be fair, we have every right to feel that way. However, this sense of pride may often come in the way of selling this asset quickly. Do not be hesitant to accept an offer from a buyer even if you do not approve of his personal choices. There is no need to take it to heart what the future plans to do with your property. This is the time to let go. Remember, this letting go is earning you a price.
Do you think the best is yet to come?
There may have been instances when you got yourself a good deal. The buyer was eager to take over and was willing to pay the price you quoted. This may have given you an idea—may be the property is worth more than you thought! May be you could earn much more than you are letting yourself accept! A good property will sell even in a bad market, right? All fair points, but, also consider the alternative. What if you reject a good offer in hopes of a better one that never comes?
