All About Armed Forces Housing Scheme

In case you are a defence personnel looking for homes in the national capital region or the hills, here is your chance. The Armed Forces Officials Welfare Organisation (AFOWO) is now conducting a demand survey to provide homes in Noida and some hilly areas.

The body from time to time is developers and sells homes to retired & serving defence personnel (army, navy and air force) and paramilitary personnel (BSF, CISF, CRPF) under its group housing schemes. Spouses of deceased officials as well as dependents such as parents, children, grandchildren and adopted children can also apply for a hoe under the scheme. Some Central and state government employees may also be eligible for this scheme.

How to apply?

The AFOWO, a service welfare body responsible for looking into the housing needs of the naval and air force community, regularly conducts demand surveys to assess the viability of a proposed housing project or scheme. Information about these surveys is notified on its website. An application and a refundable commitment fee is usually the first step to participate in the demand survey. After the survey is conducted, the AFOWO reverts to prospective buyers with tentative price of unit.

Among the projects that have been built and delivered by the body earlier are AFNOE (Sector 7, Dwarka), Raksha Enclave (Omega-2 Greater Noida), AFOWO, Raksha Retreat Villas (Nainital), Raksha Towers, BPTP Park Serene (Sector 37-D Gurgaon) and Raksha Towers, Supertech Ecovillage 1 (Sector 1, Noida Extension). Raksha Towers (Sector 68, Gurgaon) and Raksha Towers (Sector 1, Greater Noida West are other projects developed by the AFOWO.

As of now, bookings are open for Raksha Paradise, an upcoming project in Majkhali, 12 kilometre away from Ranikhet. Plots, villas, studios as well as 1 and 2BHK apartments are up for sale. Another project open for booking is situated in Sector 16C of Greater Noida West. The project, Raksha Addela, is located in Gaur City-II.
