All About The Hyderabad Metro Rail Project
On September 24, the 16-km Ameerpet-LB Nagar stretch of the Hyderabad Metro became operational with Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan flagging off services. The Rs 18,800-crore Hyderabad Metro project is being developed to facilitate last-mile connectivity to various parts of the city. The network spans a total length of 72 kilometre, consisting of three corridors. Work on the other two corridors is currently in progress, and the ridership, which is currently over a lakh passengers every day, is expected to double in future.

Impact on realty
With this eco-friendly mode of travel, residents of Hyderabad will experience high-speed connectivity and reduced travel time to reach their destinations. The Metro network passes through established real estate pockets of the city such as Miyapur, Kukatpally, Begumpet, Ameerpet, Jubilee Hills and HITEC City.
Property prices are set to appreciate with options for attractive properties for investment also likely to grow. The prices of residential properties have already jumped up in Ameerpet in the recent months whereas the growth in Miyapur and Kukatpally is also appreciable.
The government is also planning to link the network to the Shamshabad RGI Airport through new sections, thus creating opportunities for real estate growth.
