Cee Dee Yes launches gated township at OMR, Chennai

Chennai-based Cee Dee Yes Infrastructure Development, which had promoted several residential projects as well as IT parks, has recently unveiled its most ambitious self-contained and fully integrated gated residential township project called Chennai Pattinam off Tiruporur on OMR. Being developed in an area over 54 acres, the township will offer amenities and facilities, that are part of a self-contained township, including a approximately 60 per cent open space for landscaping. The project will involve an in¬vestment of Rs 625 crore. The township will offer 1,360 premium apartments in the first phase. These apartments are designed as 2BHK and 3BHK residential units, and the prices range from Rs 2,400 to Rs 2,500 per sq ft. “This is the first self contained township in the city and the amenities offered in it are already fully operational. It has been planned in such a way that the residents only need to leave the township to go to their workplace,” said Devadasa Sundaram, CMD of Cee Dee Yes Infrastructure Dev¬elopment. “We have developed Chennai Pattinam in such a way that all the necessities of our residents, inc-luding shopping, education, sports and entertainment are taken care of,” he added. Plans are also underway to promote a four-screen multiplex. According to Brunth D'Sundar, executive director of Cee Dee Yes, the company has so far developed about two million sq ft of residential space and another two million sq ft of commercial space and the experience has come handy in developing this expansive tow¬nship. “This township augurs well to those who plan to reside as well as invest in the project. Investors are also given the attractive option of renting out their apartments as service apartments on a three-year lease to gain assured returns on their investment,” he pointed out. Another feature of the township is that the apartments will have piped gas connection, the company has tied-up with Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) to provide this. In addition, there is a fully functional Cee Dee Yes DAV Public School within the campus for the exclusive use of its residents. With a built up area of one lakh sq ft, the school could accommodate up to 1,500 students. The school has facility for classes from pre-KG to 12th standard. Other features offered in the township include a 32,000 sq ft clubhouse, swimming pool, chi-ldren's play area, day care centre, a shopping mall with a total built-up area of 56,000 sq ft that accommodates a 18,000 sq ft super market and other facilities. There is also a guest house with 40 well furnished suites. The developer also operates con¬tinuous shuttle services from the township to the city.
