Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor To Boost Gujarat Real Estate

Gujarat is already one of the most industrialised states in India. Things are only going to get better for the state when the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) sees completion. Apart from the Ahmedabad-Dholera Investment Region which would have its shipyard, a port, a logistics hub and container freight station, a power plant and an integrated township, the area would also boast an international airport.

Ahmedabad

Most of the new residential developments are along the western and northern corridor. In the north, locations such as Motera, Chandkheda, Ranip and Sabarmati are what you could consider.

In the west, Bodakdev, Bopal, Jodhpur, Prahlad Nagar, Satellite and Vastrapur are some of the notable locations worth an investment.

Besides the DMIC, the GIFT City, the bullet train and the Special Investment Regions are also planned and upcoming.

Vadodara

Unlike Ahmedabad, residential development in Vadodara is scattered. Hence, residential clusters have moved to areas in the peripheries such as the Ajwa Road, the Sama-Savli Road and Alamgir in the south. In short, wherever industrial units are moving, residences are moving along.

Surat

Massive industrialisation in Surat's Hazira has led to rise in residential demand. If you are tracking new developments, turn to the sides of the Tapti river. Roadways such as the Hazira-Adajan Road are being upgraded. Pal Gam and Bahata Gam are some areas that are witnessing development of high-rises.

Besides the DMIC, work on the Diamond Research and Mercantile City (DREAM City) has also commenced, and faster connectivity is being ensured via the bullet train that will connect Ahmedabad to Mumbai with a stop at Surat, all of this within an hour. The National Expressway-1, which connects Ahmedabad to Vadodara, will be expanded to Mumbai and pass through Surat, too. The proposed Metro project and flyovers will lead to faster connectivity within the city.
