Civic and development authorities across the country are doing all they can to ensure ease of doing business. Taking a step in this direction, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has launched an online sale of plots.
Here are the things you should know about the scheme:
- Scheme window: The plot allotment scheme that opened on August 16 will close on September 15. Plot allotments under the scheme will be fully online -- from submitting the application to paying the money, and from tracking of the process to announcement of the results.
- What's on sale? 300 acres of land at Ecotech 1, 6, 9, 10, 11 and 16 and Ecotech Extension-I, divided into industrial and institutional categories. While the rates for industrial plots 400 square metres (sqm) in size are kept at Rs 10,790 per sqm, the price of institutional plots sized 1,000 sqm is Rs 15,005 per sqm. As the unit sizes go up, prices keep coming down. For instance, for plot sizes of over 8,000 sqm, the rates are kept at Rs 3,900. These rates might change based on the date on which the allotment takes place.
- Refundable fees: The registration money of the unsuccessful candidates will be returned within 90 days. While no interest will be paid on this amount, the authority will pay you the money with four per cent interest if it fails to pay within the stipulated time limit.
- Surrender of plots: Those who surrender the plots within six months will get their money refunded after a deduction of Rs 20,000. If you exceed this period, the authority will charge you 20 per cent of the premium, along with some other charges.
- Industrial add-ons: In industrial sectors, facilities like warehousing, research & development centre, tool room, test lab, maintenance and packing machinery and cable TV network will be allowed at 150 per cent of the prevailing rate in that area. On the other hand, without the authority declaring them functional, the allotted premises cannot be rented out.
Now let's look at the step-by-step process:
- Log on to the official site, www.greaternoida.com.
- On the Home Page, you would find tabs of Apply Online Industrial Plot and Apply Online Institutional Plots Scheme.
- On clicking, you would be able to see the application form where you have to fill all the details. This would include details of the plot you want to apply for, your company and your bank account details, etc. The form also lists the documents — which are 14 in number — that you have to attach with your application form.
- The next page takes you to the payment options.
- On the top in this application form are given the links to PDF files of scheme details, plots available for sale and their rates.
