GDA Approves Hindon Elevated Road Extension To DND Flyway
Soon, commuters from Ghaziabad can travel directly to DND Flyway as the Ghaziabad Development Authority has approved the alignment for extending Hindon Elevated Road to Noida. The feasibility report has recommended that the extension will take the Hindon canal route to cover a distance of 7.5km and pass through Hindon Canal, Gazipur, Kondli, Dharamshila Road and New Ashok Nagar crossing before reaching DND Flyover in Noida. The total estimated cost is pegged around Rs 558 crore.
It was in March 2018 when Uttar Pradesh (UP) Chief Minister (CM) Yogi Adityanath had inaugurated the 10-kilometre, six-lane stretch of the Hindon Elevated Road to ease connectivity.
To further smoothen the flow of traffic towards Meerut, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) is building an eight-km bypass route between the Hindon Elevated Road and the Delhi-Meerut Road. This road will completely bypass the residential hub of Raj Nagar Extension and will take commuters further to Manan Dham near Morta on the Delhi-Meerut Road. The first five-km portion of the road will move parallel to River Hindon while for the remaining three km, the commuters will have to take the Northern Peripheral Road (NH-9). This bypass road will bring down the total travelling time to 20 minutes from the RNE to the UP Gate.
In order to keep the flow of traffic and movement of vehicles smooth on the Hindon elevated road, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) officials have installed 103 CCTV cameras after every 200 meters and speed radars to track speeding vehicles.
Have your pick: For those looking for properties in Ghaziabad, there are over 100 projects each in under-construction and ready-to-move-in phase. The property prices here are the lowest across the National Capital Region, ranging from Rs 3,000 per square foot (psf) to Rs 4,000 psf. The prices have remained stable for long now but are expected to soar given the launch of the elevated corridor and also, the operational Metro connectivity through Dilshad Garden.
