Mumbai's Andheri East Has More Than 200 Housing Options Starting At Rs 55 L
Andheri East, a housing hub that has gained traction owing to its proximity to the commercial hub of Andheri West. The locality offers plenty of housing options to Mumbaikars ranging anywhere between Rs 55 lakh and Rs 6.50 crore. There are over 200 projects up for sale.
Why Andheri East?
The area is well connected by road and rail to other prominent commercial and retail hubs. This has over the years led Andheri East to open up as a location for premium constructions and high real estate prices. One of the recent infrastructural development, the Metro rail, has been equally instrumental in bringing in housing demand in and around the locality. Besides this, the area also boasts business parks, prominent schools and junior colleges, hospitals and hotels etc.
The popularity of Andheri East and areas adjoining it has been noteworthy. Proximity to the Central Business District of Mumbai, Bandra Kurla Complex, connectivity via the Eastern Express Highway are worth highlighting. LBS Marg, home to various offices and businesses is also close to Andheri. Also, the Eastern Freeway has largely benefitted this corridor altogether.
The price factor
In April 2013, average capital values in Andheri East stood at Rs 14,000 per sq ft while in June 2017, it seems to be a positive story altogether. Despite the slump that loomed large over all the active residential markets across India, Andheri East seems to have enjoyed greater attention. Capital values on an average were recorded at Rs 17,700 per sq ft.
But how much do the prices work out to be? A 1BHK unit can be bought at Rs 1.05 crore, while 2BHK and 3BHK units could cost as much as Rs 1.80-2.80 crore. Larger configurations, that is 4 and 5BHK units are priced above Rs 4.10 crore. These are average prices based on the exact location, brand of the builder, amenities provided in the project and its proximity to strategic locations and may vary.
