The Noida stamps and registration department is planning to waive two percentage point surcharge on stamp duty levied on three additional facilities in a housing society, including community centre/club, swimming pool and gym. Last year, surcharges levied on power backup and lift services were waived.

The Ghaziabad Development Authority and the Lucknow Development Authority on July 15 received an approval from the Uttar Pradesh government to float bonds to fund infrastructure projects. Bonds worth Rs 350 crore, Rs 150 crore for Ghaziabad and Rs 200 crore for Lucknow, are likely to be floated soon.

The Gujarat government on July 15 released the draft rules of the Gujarat Ownership Flats (Amendment) Rules, 2019, seeking objections and suggestions from the public. According to the draft rules, a housing society can undergo redevelopment only if it 25 years old and declared ‘dilapidated, dangerous or ruinous’ by the development authority.
