PropTiger.com Launches Data Enabled Smarter Search, Construction Updates and Locality Overview

PropTiger.com, backed by SAIF Partners and Accel Partners, a leading online real estate portal, today announced the launch of key new features on its website to enable its customers to make a smart decision when buying a home. These include Smarter Search, Locality Overview, Price Trends, Demand/Supply in a locality, Construction Updates and Favourite Homes.

Buying a home is not a trivial decision. It is a once in a lifetime purchase and the customer needs the correct tools in order to make the right decision. Not just that, the quality of data on offer on most portals is questionable.

Smarter Search
For the customer, the first interaction point with the website is the Search. As such, the Search function should be smart enough to understand what the customer is looking for. PropTiger has made the Search tool smarter by understanding how people search in the real estate domain and has further enhanced it by heuristic algorithms. The new Search is also smart enough to understand spelling mistakes and transpositions, a feature no other portal in this category addresses. Locality Overview
When customers start looking for a house, they start with analyzing the localities they are interested in. PropTiger has introduced locality pages which give the customer a first-hand feel of the price movements in the locality, price comparison across localities, demand/ supply in the locality, schools/hospitals/etc., in the locality as well as reviews about the locality. This helps the customer shortlist a locality of interest.

Construction Updates and Videos
PropTiger has introduced historical construction updates for projects. Currently, almost 20% of the projects are covered and this will be extended to cover all Under Construction Projects. This is the most critical piece of information which today is not available to customers. By enabling this feature, PropTiger has given the customer a key handle to choose the right builder who has made substantial construction progress on his projects.
