• Make a separate bag for the valuables and cash and personally carry them.

Though this might be a little heavy on the pocket, but it will surely wear off the biggest hassle of relocating, packing and unpacking. But, there are certain things you need to be sure of while you are hiring movers and packers.

• Ensure that there are no hidden charges and your belongings, which they are moving, are insured.
• Do not make the full payment in advance.
• Meet the in-charge in person and go over the process, before they begin the work.
• Keep yourself available on the day the movers and packers bring your things to your new location. You will have to show them around and point out the breakables if they have not been marked out already.
• Get everything unpacked in front of you and make sure that everything is intact. If anything is damaged, do not sign the delivery papers.
